DASHAN Quanzhou
Inside, and outside
Quanzhou · China

We convert single-use hygiene,
and we test every metre of it.

Fujian Dashan Paper has been converting adult incontinence, baby, feminine and pet hygiene products in Quanzhou since 2009. Eight lines, a laboratory that sees raw material before production does, and a long habit of working to other companies’ specifications without ever discussing them.

What comes off the lines

Four hygiene segments, converted on the same floor, under the same controls.

Adult incontinence

Briefs, protective underwear, underpads, insert and shaped pads.

Baby

Diapers and pants, across the full size range.

Feminine hygiene

Towels, liners, and nursing pads.

Pet

Training and protective pads.

Wet wipes

Personal and surface, in sachet and tub formats.

Protective apparel

Gowns, caps, shoe covers — registered as Class I devices in the United States.

Who we make it for

Two kinds of customer, and they get the same floor.

Our own brands

Nateen — with its Prime Line adult range and its Soft Line baby range — alongside Hospeen, Basic Line, and GonPee for pets.

Private label

We have run private label for a long time, for buyers with heavy specifications, including one of the main brands in the United States. We do not name them. Not naming our customers is part of what we sell — the buyer who chooses a converter wants one that will not discuss them either.

Made to a specification, not to a catalogue

Product design, packaging, board grades, cases, bags, raw material selection. From pure private label through co-branding, and as far as distribution under an existing brand — Nateen or Hospeen — when that suits the customer better. Containers, direct shipment, or into a 3PL.

A new plant, an old trade

The whole operation moved into a new production centre in Quanzhou — a modern building of roughly 400,000 square feet, comparable in footprint to our American plant in Jacksonville, Florida. Offices sit both at the plant and in the city.

The laboratory is inside the building, not alongside it. Nothing enters production without passing through it, and nothing leaves the line without being sampled again.

On capacity, the number we hold

65 million pieces a year, across eight lines, with format changeovers and maintenance already counted in. It is not the nameplate maximum, which would assume a line that never stops and a format that never changes. We publish the figure we can hold, because that is the one you would hold us to.

The company belongs to the people who work in it

That is the plain reason the quality control is as heavy as it is. Nobody here is protecting a quarter.
